Pottery (Beginners)

This course is suitable for you if you are new to making pottery. You will complete a series of short projects in which you will learn to plan, make, decorate and glaze several types of hand built decorative and useful pots, working in a creative environment with other students. The second part of the term is an opportunity to practice these techniques of pinching, coiling, slab-work and construction to create pieces of your own design. Using the potter's wheel will be taught during these weeks to those who wish to learn this skill.
