Beginners Throwing

5-weeks What will I learn? Learn the basics of throwing on the potter's wheel, from centering the clay to trimming and finishing. Each student will be guided to centre the clay, and learn to throw shapes such as cylinders and bowls. You will become confident throwing independently and shaping forms on the wheel as well as trimming using pottery tools. What is included? All materials and equipment are included. Kiln firings are included and you will have a choice of a range of coloured glazes to finish your pieces, during the last week. You will be able to choose 5 pieces to be fired in our electric kilns. Who is this course for? This course is aimed either at beginners or those who want a refresher of the basics of throwing on the potter’s wheel. This course is for adults only.
