Tuesday Pottery Hand Building and Throwing Course 19.00 - 21.30 (7 Weeks)

Come to Bristol Pottery Workshops for a Tuesday pottery throwing and hand building course! Fun, hands-on pottery classes focused on throwing on the potters wheel and hand building techniques. You will learn the steps of throwing on the potters wheel to make bowls, mugs and more from start to finish - centring, pulling up walls and shaping the clay. Then you will refine the shapes that you make with a trimming technique known as turning. We have a wonderful selection of glazes to enable you to put the finishing touches to your work. You will also learn how to use hand-building to make sculptural and functional forms using different techniques such as coiling and slabbing.
