Wild Horse Nine

On the cusp of dictator Augusto Pinochet taking power in Chile, a trio of CIA agents snipe and bicker as they await the 'go' date on their part in yet another military coup. However, against the stunning natural beauty and mysterious ancient artefacts of Easter Island, their plan starts to unravel. Shortly before the 1973 Chilean coup, CIA agents Chris (John Malkovich) and Lee (Sam Rockwell) are dispatched from Santiago to Easter Island by their bureau chief, MJ (Steve Buscemi). Amongst the Island's iconic statues, and as the longtime partners wrestle with their dark pasts and present conspiracies, Chris's newfound bond with a pair of rebellious students (Mariana di Girolamo and Ailín Salas) threatens to send everyone's trip to this remote paradise sideways. John Malkovich's peerless performance chimes beautifully with co-stars Sam Rockwell and Steve Buscemi, who together bring McDonagh's brilliantly acerbic and witty script hilariously to life.
