Joshua Burnside

Northern Irish singer-songwriter and producer Joshua Burnside blends Irish traditional song with electronica, found sounds, world music and unconventional production. Raised between Strangford Lough and East Belfast, Joshua's music explores family, trauma, grief and renewal, combining raw, intimate songwriting with a distinctive experimental sound. His latest album, It's Not Going To Be Okay, was released in 2026 and explores grief and recovery following the death of his close friend Dean Jendoubi. The album has received strong press and radio support, including BBC 6 Music playlisting. This follows 2025's critically acclaimed Teeth of Time, named one of BBC 6 Music's Albums of the Year and nominated for multiple awards, including the NI Music Prize for Best Album and RTÉ Choice Irish Album of the Year.
