We are delighted to be hosting a conversation between multi-award-winning author Nao-Cola Yamazaki and literary translator Polly Barton! They will be joining us in person to discuss Polly's translation of Nao-Cola's novella Don't Laugh At Other People's Sex Lives. First published in Japan in 2004, it's the book that launched Yamazaki's career, earning them the 41st Bungei Prize and a movie adaptation. It's now finally available in this deft English translation, and we can't wait to hear more about the process of bringing it to new readers after all these years.
