Ben Moor & Joanna Neary: BookTalkBookTalkBook
Authors Jenny Nibbingley and Burton Mastrick truly need no introduction. Their novels have long been secretly well-regarded by those in the know, but rarely bought or read by the general public. Today's event promises to be an enlightening discussion of such titles as _Why Reigate?_ , _Randoms_ , _Hatred of Broccoli_ , and _Only If I Have To_. Tim Timminey will moderate. Book signing afterwards. Well, that's the plan anyway. But when do things go to plan? _BookTalkBookTalkBook_ combines an absurdist parody of awkward live author events; an exploration of artificial intelligence and the creative process; a Beckettian live theatre experience, and an experiment in the limits of patience regarding card tricks. With jokes. Funny and wise, imaginative and original; this is a show you can't put down. Sorry, that was more of an observation than a question. _BookTalkBookTalkBook_ was a 100% Sell Out at the 2022 Edinburgh Fringe, and has been a hit in theatres and at bookshops and literary festivals around the UK. In 2024 the piece was performed at the world-famous Parisian bookshop, Shakespeare & Company. Following a short interval, Joanna and Ben will share some new pieces from their works-in-progress. Joanna Neary is a multi-award winning comedian and actor. She produces hilarious character comedy shows in the vein of Vic Reeves and Victoria Wood. Her credits include _Darkest Hour, Man Down,_ and _Ideal._ Ben Moor is a Herald Angel Award Winner, and has been writing and performing offbeat solo comedy pieces since 1993. He has appeared in _The Queen's Gambit, The IT Crowd,_ and _Knowing Me, Knowing You._
