Webber! is a bawdy and brilliant new musical comedy based on the true-life events and moral choices of Andrew Lloyd Webber. Young Webber who was born without the ability to have original ideas, and, after witnessing the Queen's Coronation on TV wishes to become 'filthy rich and f***ing useless' just like the Lords and Ladies in attendance. This wish is so powerful it cracks open the universe and summons his Fairy Greed Mother, Margaret Thatcher. Thatcher and Webber then embark - hand in hand - on a raucous journey through West End history as they suck the money out of everything good in the world. Will he become a Lord? Will he go on GB News and pretend to be a farmer? Find out in Webber! Book, score and lyrics by Grant Sharkey, Webber! was written as 'the ultimate trolling' of Andrew Lloyd Webber - a man who made millions from musicals about Jesus Christ and Eva Peron, donated heavily to Margaret Thatcher's government to buy political influence whilst remaining not especially talented at his one artistic job, composition. ALW certainly wasn't going to write this musical himself, so Sharkey figured he's got the talent, jokes and attitude to pull it off. Written in the winter of 2025, it debuted last summer at The Stage Door, Southampton, it then headed to the Edinburgh Fringe and garnered some rave reviews at the Edinburgh 2025 Fringe Festival, before touring the UK in November. This year Webber! has performed to much riotous laughter at The Rik Mayall Comedy Festival, a Sell-out run at The Ventnor Fringe Festival and a return to Edinburgh Fringe.
