Photoplate Lithography for Beginners

One-day workshop introducing photoplate lithography for beginners. Participants will learn basic techniques. This one day workshop is a full introduction to creating and printing your own lithograph. Get to grips with the basics of this practice. Try out using a variety of drawing materials on a piece of transparent drafting film. Your host will show you how to prepare, expose (similar to exposing a screen) and develop your plate, how to mix inks, handle a spindle roller and print a small variable edition of your work. Photoplates are the least process-heavy within lithography, so it's a great way to get started in the medium. Photoplate lithography can pick up some incredible subtle details, which makes it a real catch!
