In September 1996, a group of architects, engineers, academics, developers, and passionate citizens transformed a derelict eighteenth-century warehouse on Bristol's harbourside into the first architecture centre outside London. Thirty years on, that founding belief in design's power to change lives continues to drive Design West. Thriving under CEO Dr Anna Rutherford's leadership, the charity champions design excellence across the South West, inspiring, informing and involving people in shaping better places for people and planet. Join Anna and the team, inaugural director Sasha Lubetkin, founding chair David Mellor and current chair of trustees Nick Fairham to celebrate this milestone and everyone who has made it possible.
