Urban Sketching

A 6 week course open to newcomers and those returning to sketching. Whether you're picking up a pencil for the first time or you're a professional looking to rediscover the built world with fresh eyes, this 6-week course is a creative, hands-on way to engage with architecture, streetscapes, and public space. Led by experienced artist and tutor Andy Gray, Urban Sketching focuses on capturing the world around you using nothing more than a pencil and your own perspective. From streetscapes and shopfronts, to urban moments often overlooked, you'll develop your observational skills and confidence in a supportive environment. Join us from Mon 2 November, and discover how to slow down, look closer, and see your city in a whole new way - one line at a time. Using an accessible, classroom based approach and working solely in pencil, you'll return to the fundamentals and learn to capture places around you effectively.
