A new support group starting Wednesday 4 November, 2.30-4.00pm. Life can change in an instant. The loss of someone we love, the loss of a job, a change in our relationships or a shift in our sense of identity can leave us feeling uncertain, isolated and unsure of how to move forward. Retired Methodist minister Anthony Hick is launching Inside Out, a new peer support group at Wesley Cottage in Kingswood, as part of the Flourish framework, offering a safe and welcoming space for people whose lives have been turned inside out by loss. The group will provide an opportunity to share experiences, listen to others and explore how to navigate life through difficult times. Anthony believes there is much we can learn from the stories of people in the past and how they coped with loss, as well as from listening to one another's personal journeys. Meeting over six weeks, the group will offer time for conversation, reflection and mutual encouragement. The aim is to help participants feel less alone, discover new perspectives and find hope as they begin to move forward. Everyone who has experienced loss is welcome. You do not need to have a particular faith or previous experience of a support group to take part. This is an opportunity to come as you are, share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with, and connect with others who understand that life after loss can be challenging.
