Winner of the Grand Jury Dramatic Prize at Sundance, this suspenseful and devastating film follows a child trying to navigate life after witnessing a sexual assault. Eight-year-old Josephine (an astounding performance by newcomer Mason Reeves) knows that she saw something bad, but struggles to find answers. Her parents (a brilliant Channing Tatum and Gemma Chan) grapple with how to comfort her. Weaving thriller and horror conventions within a serious and sobering scenario, Beth de Araújo creates an often uncomfortable yet vital film that interrogates how we explain the unspeakable.
