Apart of Being Human Festival 2026. Why do grown-ups need to watch us all the time? CCTV cameras are part of everyday life, but what do children think about being watched? Join us for a playful making and dressing-up workshop where children can experiment with camouflage, hide from the cameras or simply choose how they want to be seen. Hide & Seek is led by Amanda Egbe, Senior Lecturer in Media Production at UWE Bristol, and grows out of her research exploring how technologies of observation shape identity, agency and belonging. Developed with creative practitioners Maca Gomez-Gutierrez and Masha Manapov, and in partnership with Trinity Community Arts, the workshop uses play and creativity to bring children's voices into conversations about surveillance and technology.
