The Alpha Course is an opportunity to explore the meaning of life, and to ask those questions we all have… 'Why am I here?', 'Is there more to life than this?', 'What is happiness?', 'Is there a God or is this all just an accident?' - as well as anything else you want to talk about. Over 12 weeks, we explore some of the major questions around the Christian faith, as well as providing an opportunity for you to ask your questions about God, life and faith. Each session will follow roughly the same format: At the beginning of the evening, they'll be food - your dinner is provided for you for free - and a chance to chat together and get to know others on the course. Then, we'll watch the Alpha video for that evening, which will introduce the main themes of the session and give us some discussion starters. Finally, we'll chat together, in smaller groups, giving us a chance to ask any questions we may have and to discuss the content of the video. There'll also be an away day, where we can spend a bit more time chatting about some specific areas - more details on that will follow.
