The Refugee Women of Bristol (RWoB) Community Champions are trained advocates dedicated to leading the Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) campaign and championing women's rights in Bristol. These Community Champions provide vital peer-to-peer support to women experiencing or surviving violence and abuse. They offer 1-on-1 emotional support, guidance on local services, and refer women to specialized services when needed. Our Community Champions work with local organizations and agencies, engaging directly with women in their workplaces or community settings. Regularly meeting with the Mend the Gap team, attending training, and participating in group supervision, they help ensure that our services meet the evolving needs of women. The insights gathered from their monitoring contribute to our ongoing service delivery, monitoring, and evaluation efforts.
