Beginner's Dressmaking

Join us for our Beginner's Dressmaking workshop at Flo-Jo Fabrics! Designed for those new to sewing and looking to build their skills, this in-person event is perfect for getting started with dressmaking basics. We use the ever popular The Camber Set pattern by Merchant and Mills. A classic shift dress pattern that can be made as a dress or as a top. You will learn how to read a pattern, measure yourself and adjust a pattern to fit your body shape. You will learn how to sew darts, add binding, sew a yolk, set in sleeves, finish and hem your garment. All with the expert guidance of Peg who has a wealth of sewing experience and will fill you with confidence! You will need to purchase your copy of the pattern, suitable fabric, pins and thread. A DISCOUNT OF 10% IS OFFERED ON YOUR PATTERN AND ALL MATERIALS FOR THE COURSE. Sewing machines and all tools are provided. Full refunds are offered on any cancellations made 7 days before the start of a course. After that we can only give a refund if the place is resold.
