Level 3: Making a Scene

People often start their journeys into improvisation by rediscovering the joys of play - there's a pure and deeply human delight that we can get from messing around together and being silly! But how do you go from playing with each other for your own delight to entertaining an audience with fully-fledged improvised comedy and drama? This seven-week course aims to equip you with the tools you need to take your improvisation to the stage by creating spontaneous and compelling scenes. You'll explore how to make bold choices that drive a scene forward or give it a strong start, how to build a shared world for your scene using basic mime and space-work, and the essential ingredients that make a scene come together (or fall apart without them).
