Workshop
This workshop is suitable for all levels including beginners. Participants are welcome to bring things they would like to try mending - either to work on during the day or for advice if that is not possible. The day will provide an in-depth look at visible mending techniques, from basic principles to exploring a wide range of creative techniques for repairing and enhancing garments, whether it's developing confidence in a few of the fundamental stitches or, for the more confident, exploring decorative pattern making with embroidery and yarn. A great way to get you started with sustainable fashion, mending items you previously would have not kept, celebrating their imperfections and creating completely individual clothing. Techniques covered include embroidery, applique, darning, needle felting - the techniques used will be appropriate to the garments participants bring.
