Music
Indie, Punk, Spoken Word. Plus support from Nigel Planer, Luke Wright, Muneera Pilgrim and John Agard. Dr John Cooper Clarke, the original punk poet and one of Britain's most singular voices, brings his sharp wit, rapid-fire delivery and unshakeable charm back to the stage. Fresh from becoming the first poet to headline a UK arena, he arrives with brand-new work from his forthcoming collection Have It, alongside the biting classics and crowd favourites that have made him a cultural icon. From acerbic social commentary to laugh-out-loud storytelling, Clarke's live shows are electric, unpredictable and unmistakably him - a rare chance to see a true original at full force. Join the Bard of Salford for an evening of poetry, humour and unapologetic personality.
