Bat Tour
Spend an evening at the cemetery with our fascinating ecologist and bat expert. Spend an evening in the knowledgeable company of our fascinating ecologist and trustee of Arnos Vale Cemetery Trust, Dan Flew. He'll share research and facts on bats and the natural history of the wonderful species found here, including lesser horseshoe bats and pipistrelles. Hopefully we will be joined by our very own resident bats at dusk. The tour will also feature a short introduction to the history of the landscape, the reasons why it's so special for bats, and how they're of such value to the cemetery and to Bristol. Please note: we're not a fully accessible site and the tour route will include steep slopes, steps and muddy or uneven paths. Gates open at 7.30pm. This tour won't run if the weather's very bad as bats don't fly in the rain. If we need to postpone it, you'll receive an email on the day of the event with an offer of a transfer to the new date or a refund.
