Creative Space | Free weekly programme for 18-25 year olds

Arnolfini has partnered with OTR's Project Zazi and Freedom to offer a free weekly Creative Space for 18-25 year olds. Zazi works with Black, Brown, and ethnically diverse young people, while Freedom works with the LGBTQIA+ community. Creative Space is for young people who identify with one or both of these communities. Together, Zazi and Freedom understand some of the barriers young people from these communities can face. Creative Space is an opportunity to explore Arnolfini in a welcoming and supportive environment, build confidence, and discover that you have a place in the gallery too. Experiment with different materials, explore Arnolfini's exhibitions, meet exhibiting artists, learn new skills and see where your creativity takes you. We think creativity is a great tool to support wellbeing. Making things in the company of other people can reduce anxiety, help us feel like ourselves, connect with our identity, and build meaningful connections with others, art, and the world around us. Creative Space isn't an art class or art therapy. It's a relaxed space to try things out, follow your intuition and be creative -- with no experience necessary. You don't have to feel at home in a gallery, and you don't have to think of yourself as an artist. Whether you already love making things or are simply curious to try something new, we'd love you to join us.
