Six-week course in wheel-throwing

A six-week course focusing on wheel-throwing techniques. Running over six consecutive weeks at the same time each week, this beginner pottery course at Zed Alley Clayhouse, Bristol provides a broad introduction for anyone new to ceramics who wants to learn the basics of throwing pots on the wheel and glazing. You will learn how to prepare clay, throw a range of basic shapes such as cylinders and bowls, add handles and pourers, and to trim pots on the wheel. You will also learn how to glaze your pots as well as techniques for decorating your work with slips and underglazes. This course is also suitable for more experienced students who want to practise and develop their skills.
