Workshop
Our mentoring friendships help people develop as disciples. Mentoring in Metro is about inviting others to have a say in our lives, helping us develop good habits and character. It is the main way of helping people follow Jesus and become more like him. Mentoring involves asking someone else to hold you accountable and help you deepen your faith. It typically occurs through one-on-one relationships or informal triplet groups, with meetings around once a month to set and work on goals before the next session. The Metro Mentoring App has been developed to facilitate this process, allowing users to evaluate and discuss their spiritual and lifestyle practices. The app includes various sessions covering topics such as Prayer, Sabbath, Rhythms of Life, Morality, Finance, Relationships, and a Baptism Preparation course, each concluding with practical goals to work on before the next meeting. Mentors can also make notes of their time together, which are accessible on the user's personal Dashboard.
