The Summer Book

The Summer Book follows an intergenerational family spending a transformative summer at their rustic vacation home on an unspoiled, remote island in the Gulf of Finland. The multi-Oscar®-nominated Glenn Close leads the cast as a grandmother uncovering the beautiful Finnish archipelago to her granddaughter (Emily Matthews), whilst balancing her relationship with her son played by The Worst Person In The World's Anders Danielen Lie. Adapted from Moomins creator Tove Jansson's beloved novel, The Summer Book is a delicate account of growing up and growing old, beautifully filmed on 16mm in majestic natural light.
