Kathy works with time, process & substance.
Her works reflects a period of alchemy, a closely observed negotiation between conflicting materials & serendipitous choice.
Within these artworks there is an anxiety regarding the boundary of the canvas, which can be seen to represent containment.
The desire, if not necessity, to destroy such enforced limits, drives each piece.
The result is an exhibition imbued with many layers of metaphor.
