Join a playful, hands-on workshop exploring three-dimensional making processes with art fabricators Lisa and Mark from Plenderleith Scantlebury. Drawing on the architectural installations in Spike Island's exhibition, Nancy Lupo: Several Chickens Later, Lisa and Mark will guide you through an experimental process of making and re-making objects, that explore how collective fantasies and emotions become embedded in form. Participants are invited to create clay forms through a combination of hand building, moulding and throwing on a potter's wheel, before re-casting the forms in plaster to make parallel imprints of the real world. This workshop is open to all ages and abilities - children should be supervised by an adult. All equipment is provided, but participants are also encouraged to bring objects to create unique imprints. Please note: Participants should wear clothes they don't mind getting messy.
