Christmas Pine Needle Casting

Seasonal silversmithing workshop learning how to cast organic forms by pouring molten silver into pine needles from locally sourced trees. Join us for this fun, warm workshop using big blowtorches and natural materials to create beautiful handmade jewellery. Cast unusual shapes into solid silver and turn them into jewellery. This tactile workshop is one of a kind in Bristol and uses traditional silversmithing techniques in a fun and experimental way. Maxine will teach you how to cast shapes and then how to make the shapes into earrings or pendants, ready to wear! Silver is charged on weight, there is no pressure to take anything away you can just come for the process but if you want to walk off with jewellery we take payment on the day. Alternatively you can bring your own silver or gold to try it with! Come and get cosy and walk away with precious jewellery.
