BOP26 Books on Photography

Back to Paintworks for 2026, bringing together a wide range of photobook publishers, booksellers and photographers, Saturday 17th- Sunday 18th October. Join Bristol's annual photobook festival for a weekend of photography, artist talks, exhibitions, events, book signings, and more, held across Paintworks 17 and 18 OCT. A line up of photographers and photobook publishers from across the UK and Europe will be showcasing new projects across the festival weekend. We have an action packed programme, including a special Martin Parr Riso workshop, for which Fieldworks are installing a large format risograph printer for, a programme of 8 artist talks, and The Photobook Museum joining us from Cologne with an interactive installation of 48 unique and handmade photobook dummies shortlisted for their Dummy Award 2026. Our Martin Parr Timeline exhibition will be on the MPF outdoor stands, and The Photocopy Club will run DARKROOM EVIDENCE, a pop-up zine making workshop taking inspiration from photographer Michel Campeau and his publication Darkroom. The BOP Community Photobook Table returns, where visitors can leave their photobooks and book dummies for visitors to explore. Coffee Club will be open to fuel the festival weekend with specialty brews, tasty sweet treats and authentic Argentinian empanadas. Lost and Grounded will have a pop-up bar, and we'll have street food with Bristol Eats. We hope you can join us!
