Koenji Music Presents: AYU OKAKITA. Ayu Okakita live at The Louisiana, Bristol. Tuesday, 11th August 2026. With support from Lottie Brazier + Marina Yozora. Ayu Okakita is a solo performer from Osaka, Japan. Her first album 'Cyan Dreams of Miss Ashleen' was released in 2008 after which she relocated to the UK and became the voice of the trip-hop/dubstep band Nedry. Despite 2 critically acclaimed albums the band's last release was 2012's 'In a Dim Light' before Ayu returned to Japan. It was a long wait for her second album, 'Sayonara Dance' released in 2019. Her sound would have been familiar to Nedry fans but Ayu was developing as a great multi instrumentalist who's sound would evolve into her masterpiece album, Grow Grow initially self released in Japan but has in 2026 been re-released on 12" vinyl by Koenji Music in the UK. Ayu's next work may be previewed on these dates and the Piano has become a major love for her so we could expect a very refreshing new sound - whatever she comes as, it will be heartfelt and personal. These UK dates will follow a festival performance in Martigues, France supporting Leonie Pernet.
