Advice Drop In: Bristol Dementia Action Alliance

Bristol Dementia Action Alliance are a non-profit making, community-based project, mostly resourced by volunteers. They are also part of an 'Alliance' of similar groups throughout the UK, working towards enabling their communities to become more dementia aware. Their mission statements: 1. We aim to enable Bristol to become a 'Dementia Aware Community'. 2. We believe that people with dementia have the right to a good quality of life and to remain independent in their local community. 3. We believe that people with dementia have the right to live well, engage in and contribute to their local communities as long as they wish to do so. 4. We will address negative attitudes and raise awareness and understanding of dementia.
