Dreams of earth often symbolize a profound reconnection with nature, grounding, and the collective unconscious. These dreams shift focus from personal ego to ecological awareness and kinship with the planet. They may reflect our emotional and physical stability or a deep need for grounding in the natural world. Additionally, inspired by Thomas Berry's The Dream of the Earth, such dreams can represent a vision for a new ecological story--one that heals and restores the human-nature relationship. Join us for this session dedicated to the practice of social dreaming drawing, a method that combines shared dream narratives with visual expression to foster insight, connection, and creative art-making. Through sharing dreams and oneiric materials within a group, using free association, participants are encouraged to explore hidden links, patterns, and dynamics within their socio-cultural and ecological context. Each participant will create their own drawing or painting, and we will also use shared oneiric materials to collaboratively craft art. This process aims to generate hypotheses that can lead to new perspectives, connections, and positive change. Developed in the 1980s by Gordon Lawrence, social dreaming is a technique that uses shared dreams to explore group, societal, and cultural dynamics, revealing unconscious themes and sparking new ideas through collective imagery and relationships. Inspired by Mersky (2017), this series emphasizes creating art--drawing dreams and subconscious content--to express beyond words. In this session, we will focus on visualizing dreams of earth to help uncover emotional states, ecological awareness, and collective currents. Dreams of the earth may symbolize a need for grounding, renewal, or ecological harmony, and exploring these through art can foster deeper understanding and connection. No prior artistic experience is necessary; materials will be provided. This practice encourages openness, curiosity, and a shared, creative exploration into the depths of unconscious and social life, making it a meaningful and enriching art-making experience. Please note that this is not a therapeutic session; it is a creative and exploratory practice. Please note that no refunds will be given due to limited spaces. However, tickets are transferable, so you can pass your ticket to someone else if needed.
