Canteen Latin Descarga Sessions - Gravity Tuesdays Jam Night!

Latin Jazz Jam Session. Round up! We are thrilled to introduce our new Gravity Jam Nights in collaboration with Bristol Beer Factory. Expect the same legendary jam nights, but with the hot new addition of £5 Gravity Pilsners. Rock on stage, shake your hips and clink your glasses of cheap, cheap beer. The jams start at 8:30pm but we're treating you to an extra hour of discounted Gravity Pils as you mingle, nibble and rehearse. A vibrant monthly night celebrating Afro-Cuban grooves, Latin jazz, and salsa. The evening is directed by stalwarts of the scene Jim Blomfield (piano) and Jon Clark (drums) with the dynamic house band featuring musicians from some of the best Latin combos around such as Saoco Collective, Buena Bristol Social Club, Bristol Salsa Orchestra and Baila La Cumbia. For the second set, the stage opens up in true Cuban style with a Descarga (jam session) and is an opportunity for other musicians to express themselves and become part of the vibe and energy of the music. Whether you come to listen, dance, or play, expect irresistible rhythms, spontaneous moments, and a great atmosphere.
