Fringe In The Round: Henrik Jensen Trio

Elegant and intimate jazz bringing together three exceptional talents in European jazz! Fringe in the Round presents the Henrik Jensen Trio. For the first gig of our autumn season we're presenting the elegant and intimate Henrik Jensen Trio. Led by Danish bassist and composer Henrik Jensen, now resident in Frome, the trio is lyrical and exploratory. There's a great balance of nuance and boldness, with each piece unfolding like a conversation, full of texture, interplay, and storytelling. Henrik's thoughtful compositions provide the foundation and he is joined by Esben Tjalve on piano, whose cinematic touch adds emotional depth, and Dave Smith on drums, whose rhythmic precision and adventurous spirit give the music its pulse and momentum. And he can really hit them. A band perfectly suited to the warm and intimate environment we have in the performance space at the back of The Bristol Fringe.
