Burum

Burum are a truly unique band that fuse both the Welsh folk tradition and Jazz. The band's music fuses a deep respect for the original folk tunes themselves with the flexibility and dynamics of jazz improvisation - beautiful, melancholic melodies are performed alongside fiery solos and deep grooves. Renowned Welsh trumpeter Tomos Williams leads the band which includes virtuoso Welsh folk star and multi-instrumentalist Patrick Rimes on bagpipes and flutes - which instantly places Burum's sound outside of any category or specific genre. Burum includes some of Wales's most creative jazz and folk musicians: mixing these ingredients together creates the unique and extraordinary band sound that is Burum.
