Ardagh Community Plant Nursery

At our Community Plant Nursery we grow plants that are good for wildlife, pollinators and our changing climate. A lot of plants sold in garden centres are imported from Holland and travel a long way before they reach us creating a large carbon footprint. By growing plants here at The Ardagh, we can reduce these plant miles and provide locally grown plants for our community. We also collect and save seeds from plants grown on site. We sow these seeds at the right time of year and grow them into new plants to sell. Our plant range changes throughout the year. We grow and sell a selection of perennials, herbs, vegetables and pollinator-friendly plants. Plants may include: Phlomis, verbena, oregano, chives, fennel and parsley, as well as many other seasonal plants.
